Clients are Pune – based food and beverage company, selling crafted brewed beer as a main product at their bar and eatery at a local mall. The name is based on the ex-owner TJ Venkateshwara and they were expecting a creative design agency to make regular event creatives for their in-house events. Time frame was a yearly contract engagement. Wanted month-based delivery from the design studio for the events of that month.
The brand of TJ’s was already done by a Mumbai based agency, so we built the other communication we were roped in for in the same language and style. A visit used to happen every month to understand what they required for that month and what began as an event-based association, was extended to other branding requirements like – traditional adv, internal advertising, menu cards, posters, in-mall presence and promotion etc. We also did cinemascope basic slides – 5 slides a minute (promotions in cinema halls). We helped do all the events.
Okay, then what happened: We successfully did event promotions for TJ’s for a year. During this time, our communication design for the bar worked wonders and the bar was a hit amongst the patrons. The targeted creative promotions made the bar hugely popular. Eventually, as the appreciation of our hard work went down with the client, we did not initiate for a contract renewal and incidentally post this almost immediately the appeal got diluted.
